Larry
Seipp
Director of Bands
Mr. Larry Seipp is the Coordinator of
Bands which include Marching Band, Wind
Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Percussion Ensemble, Pit Orchestra, and Jazz
Ensemble. Mr. Seipp conducts the Wind Ensemble,
Glass Theatre Pit Orchestra, and Jazz Ensemble. Mr. Seipp holds a B.A. from Liberty
University in Music Education
and a M.M. from James Madison
University in Music
Education. Mr. Seipp is a regular performer in
the Lynchburg area and is an
adjunct faculty brass instructor for Liberty
University. He has been
nominated to the 2002 "Who's Who of American Teachers" list and
is a member of the Music Educators National Conference and Virginia Music
Educators Association, where he is the District VI VBODA Secretary.
The Glass Concert Bands have received numerous awards and Superior
Ratings under Mr. Seipp and Ms. Shield’s
direction. The Marching Band has performed for the Lord Mayor of London’s
New Year’s Day Parade, the 2001 Chick fil-a
Peach Bowl Game and Parade, and most recently for pre-game and halftime
for the University of Virginia.
He is in his 5th year as director of bands at ECG.
Russell Pawlas
Director of Bands,
LMS
Mr. Russell Pawlas is the Assistant Director of Bands which
includes Marching Band and Percussion Ensemble. Mr. Pawlas is the
Director of Bands at Linkhorne
Middle School.
Mr. Pawlas holds a B.M from James
Madison University
in Music Education and a M.A. from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in
Music Education. Mr. Pawlas is a regular performer in the Lynchburg
area with The Lynchburg Symphony, The Jefferson Choral Society, Lynchburg
Choral Union and numerous churches. In 2001, Mr. Pawlas received the
"Dedication to Education Award" from the Central Virginia
Governor's School Program, and has been nominated to the 2003 "Who's
Who of American Teachers". He is a member of the Music
Educators National Conference, Virginia Music Educators Association, and
the Percussive Arts Society. Mr. Pawlas was a Percussion
Adjudicator with the Atlantic Indoor Association and most recently has
served as percussion arranger and drill writer for the EC Glass Marching
Band. Mr. Pawlas' was a performing member of the Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps from 1989-1992. His
past teaching experience includes Director of the Liberty Middle School
Band Program and Assistant Director at Liberty
High School, director of
bands for 5 years at Altavista Combined Middle
and High Schools, and most recently the Associate Director of Bands at
E.C. Glass.
Ms. Jenny Vogel Assistant
Director of Bands, ECG and LMS
Ms. Vogel is a 2001 graduate of Virginia Tech where she
earned a B.A. in Music Education. While at Virginia Tech she played
clarinet in the Wind Ensemble, New River Valley Symphony, Clarion
Clarinet Choir, and played Bari Sax in the jazz
band. She was also a member of the Marching Virginians flag corps for 2
years.
Miss Vogel is fully licensed in Instrumental Music, PreK-12.
She has taught in Pulaski and Washington County Virginia at both
the middle school and high school levels. Most recently, Ms. Vogel was
director of bands for Laurel Park Middle
School and Color Guard and Winterguard Program coordinator for the award-winning
Laurel Park MS Winterguard and the Magna Vista
High School Winterguard. Most recently,
Ms. Vogel completed her Master's in Music Education through Radford University.
Christine Guske

Casey Wood
Percussion Staff
Mr. Wood serves as the percussion assistant for the ECG
Marching Band. He teaches English at ECG and is a recent graduate from James
Madison University
where he majored in English and was a member of the drumline
for the 425-member nationally recognized Marching Royal Dukes.
